Choosing to Change grew out of a desire to provide solutions that move beyond physical help through a more holistic approach.

Knowing personally the many hurdles of transitioning home, I wanted to create a nonprofit that helps individuals with some of their most immediate needs, while building accountability, and creating an impact on the community where the harm was caused.

Unlike most reentry programs with many resources and some impact, I am a founder who has lived experience which allows me to understand the transition from a mental, emotional, and physical standpoint. My transition wasn’t easy, but my choices to change have allowed me to advocate for others on a similar path.
